The founders — former Dale of Norway employees — believed a flat-structured, vertically integrated company could produce premium knitwear competitively in Norway. Designer Solveig Hisdal joined early and shaped the brand's signature merino-and-silk aesthetic, drawing on Norwegian folk motifs rendered in a contemporary palette. Today Oleana produces in Arne Fabrikker, a historic mill in Arna, and sells through DTC online, museum shops, and high-end boutiques worldwide. The brand is a rare example of a luxury fashion brand where 'made in Norway' is literally and consistently true.
