Instagram is LYKKE's primary channel — knitting project photos, yarn-alongside-needle styling and gifting flat-lays perform well with the craft community. Pinterest drives organic discovery for gift searches. Facebook targets crafters aged 30-60 with gifting creative around Q4 and Mother's Day.
Copy themes: craft joy, smooth finish ('glides through yarn'), gift-worthiness ('the knitter in your life'), sustainable materials. The brand name (Norwegian for happiness) is embedded in the ethos. Interchangeable set messaging emphasises versatility and the 'one set for every project' efficiency.
LYKKE demonstrates how a niche craft brand can achieve global scale by speaking fluently to a passionate, word-of-mouth-driven community. Yarn stores act as unpaid brand ambassadors; knitting influencers (prominent on YouTube and Instagram) provide authentic trial and endorsement. For craft brands: the community is the distribution channel — invest there before paid media.
