See all ads on AdLibrary →MYKITA is a Berlin-based luxury designer eyewear brand founded in 2003. Known for the patented screwless stainless-steel frame construction and Made-in-Berlin manufacturing, the brand operates flagship stores globally and sells DTC online. MYKITA collaborates regularly with fashion designers and architects.
MYKITA's advertising is editorial and design-forward — the brand markets through design press, architecture magazines and fashion collaborations as much as through paid social. When digital ads run, they feature campaign imagery from prominent photographers and brand collaborators. DTC conversion is driven by flagship store experience and word-of-mouth rather than performance advertising. Browse their presence at AdLibrary.
Instagram is MYKITA's strongest digital channel — campaign imagery and product photography are museum-quality and generate high engagement from design-conscious audiences. Facebook is used for retargeting existing customers and reaching luxury eyewear buyers. Collaboration launch campaigns (e.g. with Bernhard Willhelm, Maison Margiela) generate press amplification.
Copy is spare and design-language inflected: material, construction, origin. 'Handcrafted in Berlin', 'screwless stainless steel', 'since 2003'. Campaign copy references collaborating artists or designers. The brand avoids promotional language entirely — pricing is never featured; quality and design are the only messages.
MYKITA proves that in luxury, the medium is part of the message. Advertising in architecture magazines, collaborating with artists, and opening beautiful retail spaces creates a brand halo that Instagram ads alone cannot achieve. For luxury DTC brands: invest in cultural adjacencies — the associations they create justify the price premium that drives margin.
